Letterpress Brâncuși Set Geometric Shapes – Wood type printing blocks, 56 pieces, composed as follow:
– 12 x 48 line (50,8 mm x 203,2 mm) – 2 pieces;
– 12 x 36 line (50,8 mm x 152,4 mm) – 6 pieces;
– 18 x 18 line (76,2 mm x 76,2 mm) – 1 piece;
– 12 x 18 line (50,8 mm x 76,2 mm) – 1 piece;
– 12 x 12 line (50,8 mm x 50,8 mm) – 3 pieces;
– 8 x 24 line (33,8 mm x 101,3 mm) – 3 pieces;
– 8 x 8 line (33,8 mm x 33,8 mm) – 21 pieces;
– 6 x 6 line (25,4 mm x 25,4 mm) – 19 pieces;

This project of Geometric shapes wood type is a tribute to the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, which is considered one of the pioneers of modern sculpture of the 20th century. At his death he left 1200 photographs and 215 sculptures. He donated his collection to the French state, on the condition that his studio be rebuilt exactly as he had left it, on the day of his death. A replica of his studio is build adjacent to the Pompidou Center, design by architect Renzo Piano. After Brancusi’s studio, the Swedish architect Klas Anshelm was inspired when he designed Malmo Konsthall.

SIZE/DIMENSION/WEIGHT
Relief depth of 1.8 mm and total block depth is standard size of 0.918″ (Anglo – American type height). Please leave a message upon purchase, if you want different type height (German, Dutch, Danish, Italian, etc)

MATERIALS UTILIZED
French polished, end-grain beech wood.

PRODUCTION METHOD
New, uninked, unused printing blocks cut from dry, treated beech wood on a cnc milling machine, each item is hand finished.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS
Additional characters or other custom typefaces, ornaments, borders, pattern, etc, of different sizes or relief depths may be machined upon special order.

SHIPPING
The shipping consist of regular economy postal service delivery and it is (at least) somewhere between 7 to 14 business days for E.U. and 14- 22 business days for the United States. Only orders over $ 75 will receive tracking information.
