Description

Letterpress wood type Bifur typeface, designed by A. M. Cassandre in 1929; reconstructed and redesigned as wood type by Petrescu Press. Many thanks to Richard Kegler & to P22 Type Foundry for the support.

This is a set of wood type composed of three layers: “C”, “D” and “E”. The typeface design is obtained by overlaying the base layer “C” over either “D” or “E” layer (with hachure), thus obtaining two variants of the same design.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Letterpress Bifur typeface sets “C”, “D”, “E” wood type printing blocks. Most of the punctuation is included in the “C” set, the “D” and “E” sets contain three punctuation.

SIZE/DIMENSION/WEIGHT
Relief depth of 1.8 mm and total block depth is standard size of 0.918″ (Anglo – American type height). Please leave a message upon purchase, if you want different type height (German, Dutch, Danish, Italian, etc)

MATERIALS UTILIZED
French polished, end-grain beech wood.

PRODUCTION METHOD
New, uninked, unused printing blocks cut from dry, treated beech wood on a cnc milling machine.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS
Additional characters or other custom typeface, ornaments, borders,  pattern, etc, of different sizes or depths may be machined upon special order.

The shipping consist of regular economy postal service delivery and it is (at least) somewhere between 5 to 10 days for E.U. and 10-14 days for the United States.
